Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers
Marisa Bianan obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Western Michigan University in April 2018. Through her studies, Marisa had the privilege to work with choreographers including Jeremy Blair, Monique Haley, Carolyn Pavlik, and Brendan Duggan. Since graduating, Marisa has presented various choreographic works in the Midwest including at the 2019 Midwest RADFest and Inaside’s Summer 2022 in-person/virtual hybrid concert. Recent accolades include becoming a finalist for the 2021 Maggie Allesee Choreography Competition, being commissioned to create a new work for Western Michigan University’s First Year Performance class, which premiered in February 2022, and being accepted into the 2023 Detroit Dance City Festival Choreographer’s Showcase. Marisa stepped into the role of Associate Artistic Director with Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers in 2021. 2023-2024 will be Marisa’s sixth season with WSCTD.

Daewon Kim
Daewon Kim is an award-winning film director, editor and animator whose projects have screened at festivals across the globe. His goals as a filmmaker are to create visual experiences that allow audiences to enjoy surreal scenes and stories that are possible in only in the cinema, while revealing a deeper truth about reality. The audience experiences extraordinary and meaningful moments -- impossible in real life -- through these visual and auditory experiences. In these moments, he believes the filmmaker or the director has a unique opportunity to deliver powerful messages using his or her capacity to manipulate images and sounds and with the power of the imagination. This is a beauty that only film and video can produce. He received a master of fine arts degree from San Francisco State University and he teaches courses as an Assistant Professor in the area of film production at Oakland University, especially focused on editing, sound design, color correction, animation and visual effects.
Chloe Ryherd
Chloe Ryherd is a St. Louis-based dancer and choreographer, currently a company member with the Modern American Dance Company (MADCO). A proud graduate of Lindenwood University, she first brought work to the Dance City Festival in Detroit in 2024 as a student and is thrilled to return again this year. Her latest piece delves into how our everyday moments quietly shape a lifetime of intricate, calculated experiences—often without us even realizing it. Through movement, she reflects on the quiet surprises of daily life and the layered beauty of womanhood, exploring how the hardships we face in early adulthood carry their own kind of grace, even in their suffering.
