National Exchange Award: One Choreographer from the 2025 Dance City Festival Detroit will be selected for the opportunity to perform at the 2026 ATLAS in Puerto Rico.

NYC Exchange Award: DCF and Dumbo Dance Festival have renewed our partnership to create a national exchange to give artists more performance opportunities. One Choreographer from the 2025 Dance City Festival Detroit will be selected for the opportunity to perform at the 2026 Dumbo Dance Festival in New York City.

Michigan Exchange Award: DCF and Kalamazoo, Michigan based Midwest RAD Fest have recently partnered to create a national exchange to give artists more performance opportunities. One choreographer presenting their work at DCFD 2025 will be selected for the opportunity to showcase their work again as a part of the 2026 Midwest RAD Fest in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Rising Choreographer Award: One choreographer from the 2025 Dance City Festival Detroit Rivera Court Stage will be chosen to perform in the 2026 DCFD Choreographers Showcase.

Aspiring Artist Award: One student choreographer from the 2025 Dance City Festival Detroit College Showcase will be chosen to present work at the 2026 Dance City Festival Detroit.

International Exchange Award: DCF and South Korean-based New Dance Festival international festival have created an international exchange initiative in order to cultivate cross-cultural artistic experiences and encourage recognition of Detroit as a global epicenter for dance. One choreographer presenting their work at DCFD 2024 will be selected for the opportunity to showcase their work again as a part of the New Dance Festival 2026 in Daejeon, South Korea. This is an exciting opportunity for dancers to present on an international stage, and connect and with fellow artists from around the world.
