Mrudani School of Performing Arts
Dr. Anuradha Murali is the Artistic Director of Mrudani School of Performing Arts, whose mission is to promote the classical arts of India. She performs and teaches Indian Classical Dance (Bharathanatayam and Kuchipudi) and Carnatic Music. As an Adjunct Professor of Dance and as an instructor, Anuradha has taught Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi at Columbia College and University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. She has authored several scholarly articles in teaching at community colleges and universities for dance majors. Anuradha, a recipient of numerous grants/awards for dance choreography and dance performance, has performed at prestigious national and international festivals including India, Japan, France, Korea, Greece, Italy and Brazil. Dr. Murali’s abstract/paper, “Pedogogy and Natya Sadhana”, was accepted by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, India. Dance productions choerographed by Dr. Murali, either completed or in-progress, include the following: “Megadhoota”, “Gangashtakam”, “Ganga Margam”, “Sagarika”, “Dasara Natyarpana”, and “Divya-Yaanam”.

HUMI
HUMI is an independent dance group, originally from Michigan, who performs dance covers, mainly of pop songs from Korea. HUMI is a diverse group with different cultural backgrounds but with a common love for Asian pop music. HUMI aims to spread the love for these music genres while showcasing the talents of its members.

Srijati Arts
Vrishali Parab is an Odissi dancer based in Metro Detroit. Originating from the temple and folk dances of Odisha, India, Odissi is known for its intricate footwork, graceful postures, and expressive storytelling. As an adult learner, Vrishali finds joy in exploring these elements in diverse musical and social settings. She studies Odissi at Srijati Arts, a global online learning and creative space for the dance form, and has performed at various arts festivals and cultural programs in Metro Detroit and Toronto.

Dance Uprising
Dance Uprising is the voice, the rebellion, the brain child for dancer/choreographer Amy Cadwallader. Amy is joined by a cast of ten creative individuals for the 24-25 season who bring their unique worldviews to the work.

APulso Dance Project
Andi is a Chilean Choreographer, Dance Educator, Performer, and Sociologist. She got her BA degree in Sociology at UC of Chile, the same place where she founded Kazé Dance, a Contemporary dance company where she was the Artistic Director and Choreographer for eight years. In 2017, Andi relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, California, and obtained her MFA in Dance and Choreography from Mills College. There, she also had the opportunity to perform for choreographers such as Joe Landini and Molissa Fenley and showed her work with her Dance Company “A Pulso Dance Project" at many festivals around the State. During her years in the Bay, Andi also worked as a faculty member at the Bay Area Ballet Conservatory, Shawl Anderson Dance Center, and as a Teaching Artist at Alonzo King Lines Ballet Dance Center. In 2023, she relocated to New York to keep her studies and joined the Master’s degree “Teaching Dance in the Profession: ABT Ballet Pedagogy” at New York University while working as a Teaching Artist for ABT and as an assistant at the ABT JKO School. During her time in NYC, she also did an internship at Peridance Contemporary Dance Company with Igal Perry as an administrative assistant and worked as a Contemporary faculty member for Maria Kowroski’s New Jersey Ballet Summer Intensive. In 2024, she moved to Michigan where she has taught at UofM Dance Department, Western Michigan University, Alma College, and Grand Rapids Ballet, as well as choreographed for Eastern Michigan University and Grand Valley State University.

Cho AnGee
A Dancer Carrying Tradition, Cho AnGee
Currently studying Korean Dance at the College of Arts, Sungkyunkwan University, Cho AnGee has also served as Vice President of the College’s Student Council.
She has been recognized for both her artistry and excellence, receiving a 2025 Commendation from the Korean National Assembly in the field of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Popularity Award at the Arts in Tank Dance Film Festival, the Grand Prize in the Culture and Arts Division at the Korea Welfare Improvement Festival, and the Highest Award in Korean Dance at the Korea National Dance Competition.

Veronica Gerios
Veronica Gerios is a dancer residing in Champaign, IL. She developed her passion for dance while growing up in the Metro Detroit area. She specializes in contemporary while also having experience in ballet and jazz. She enjoys incorporating her costume construction experience in her performances. Her works focus on expansive movement. She is excited to begin sharing her work with the dance community.

Kelly Clair
Kelly Clair began her dance training in Metro-Detroit where she fell in love with modern and jazz. She is currently a senior at Eastern Michigan University majoring in dance with a minor in arts management. During her time at Eastern she has been in a variety of works by artists such as Joori Jung, Ronald Ford (QWNTYM), Baira, and Eisenhower Dance Detroit. She additionally collaborated with international dance photographer, Michael Shi, on a group dance project in 2024. She has choreographed solo work and three group pieces, one which will present at the 2025 ACDA conference and the EMU Undergraduate Research Symposium. She currently is a teacher at Allegro Dance Studio in Bloomfield Hills where she teaches ballet, jazz, and contemporary.

HBY Ensemble
HBY Ensemble (Holistic Ballet Yoga) is a Metro Detroit contemporary dance ensemble that empowers mature artists aged 40+ to continue to perform. Currently in its eighth season, the ensemble includes educated artists with backgrounds in professional dance, medicine, yoga, and the MELT Method. HBY Ensemble strives for longevity and supports their artists to continue to live a creative life.

Currents Dance Theatre
Currents Dance Theatre is a professional repertory company based in Grand Rapids, MI dedicated to enhancing the understanding and appreciation of contemporary dance through exceptional performances and educational programs.
Madeline Williams is a dance teacher, choreographer, and performer holding a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Business with a minor in Dance Pedagogy from Hope College. She currently teaches dance at multiple studios in the Metro Detroit area and is a Pure Barre instructor. She is passionate about dance education and is the 2024 recipient of Hope College’s Florence Cavanaugh Dance Award, reflecting this love for teaching. Her choreography has been featured at the American College Dance Association Conference, Detroit Dance City Festival, and in Paris, France. Madeline was a Currents Apprentice is Season One and is now a Guest Choreographer for Season 2 while pursuing her performance career in Metro Detroit.

Preethi Saravanakumar is a Software Developer living in Michigan. She is a published author of 11 books. She has been training in Indian classical dance, Odissi, for more than 5 years. She has performed on various stages in the locality.
